I'm an artist and an art-lover, living just outside of Boston. I paint and draw for my own pleasure when I'm not working, web-designing, volunteering, reading, spending time with friends or travelling. I paint in oil, usually on canvas or masonite and my drawings are usually pencil on paper. I work mostly from photographs that I took of friends or places. At present, this site contains my 47 paintings and 100+ sketches and drawings.
I'm a web-designer, and I have been maintaining this online portfolio since 1999. I have designed or contributed to several other sites since then, and I have also developed Stories in Art and Art Revealed, two sites that feed my fascination with the intersection of art history and technology.
Since 2004, I have been volunteering at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston's greatest gift to the art world. I work at Boston University, and I recently finished my Master's degree at BU as well.
In college, I studied Art History and Art at Ithaca College and at SACI in Florence, Italy. I also worked on the Virtual Chartres Cathedral Project, and interned at the Cornell Institute for Digital Collections and the Johnson Museum of Art while I was in college.
I started painting in art classes in high school (my first painting). I was also a scenic designer in high school, working mostly on productions for the drama club and for a local private school.
